1. Farglory Ocean Park

This is the first marine park in Taiwan which was opened in 2002 with the focus of marine ecology. There is a vast exhibition of colourful species of marine life, dolphin shows, thrilling water rides, cable cars etc. And people of all ages have something to enjoy over here. This is considered as the biggest man-made water theme park in Hualien and the amusement zones are Discovery Island, crystal castle, Dolphin lagoon etc.
2. Taroko National Park
Address: 972, Taiwan, Hualien County, Xiulin Township, 富世291號.
This is a popular and protected National park in Taroko Gorge, Taiwan. High mountains and sheer gorge are the peculiarities of this Park. Some facts makes this park so special for visitors are the water falls, mountain ranges, rare species of birds and animals. It faces Pacific Ocean in the east.
3. Hualien night market
Address: No. 50, Zhongshan Road, Hualien City, Hualien County, Taiwan 970.
You can enjoy a vibrant and colourful night life over here. This is a popular night market in Taiwan and there are number of shopping corners, street food stalls, game stalls, live performances etc.
4. Jici Beach
Address: Taiwan, Hualien County, Fengbin Township, 6之1號.
This is one of the populous beaches in Hualien which attracts visitors with its turquoise waters and white sand shores. This beach is popular for swimming, wind surfing, sun bathing etc. There are all kinds of facilities available for visitors like bathrooms, rest rooms, restaurants with sea food dishes.
5. Taiwanese food

Taiwan has a rich number of traditional dishes and one of the popular one you can try from Hualien is steamed Dumplings. This is very tasty, common and very cheap also. The preparation is Steamed in baskets, chewy, and filled with fresh cooked meat filling, and really delicious one.
6. Liyu Lake
Address: Liyu Lake, Shoufeng Township, Hualien County, Taiwan 974.
This is one of the largest lakes in Taiwan and really charming. It is situated on the foot of Liyu Mountain in Chinan Village. There are number of outdoor activities you can enjoy includes sailing, kayaking, shore walks, bicycle tours etc.
7. Qing Shui Cliff
Address: Ch'ing-shui Cliff, Xiulin Township, Hualien County, Taiwan 972.
This is one of the longest coastal cliffs in Hualien with the length of 21 km. you can find the tallest peak Qingshui Mountain with an elevation of 2408 meters. This is the highest coastal cliff in Taiwan and it attracts visitors with its natural scenic beauty. Swimming is not suitable here but you can take a walk on the shores by enjoying the surrounding beauty.
8. Sheng an & Cihui Temples

This is a popular pilgrim centre in Hualien. These temples are favourite for both locals and tourists and it has amazing architectural styles to explore. The Queen Mother of the West is the main Goddess over here and believed that she is protecting the entire region.
