This wildlife sanctuary is established in 1976 inaugurated by Sanjay Gandhi. This sanctuary is known as the paradise of elephants. The sanctuary is also a habitat to leopard, barking deer, moose, deer, sloth bear, and giant squirrel. The sanctuary is rich in Northern dry mixed deciduous forests and in Sry Peninsular Sal forests.
