This National monument was established in 1972 where you can find the largest deposits of freshwater fish fossils in the world. The aim of this National monument is to protect the Fossil Lake and portions of the Green river lake ecosystem. Here you can enjoy hiking trails with the stunning views of the unique landscape and geological features. There is a visitor center with displays of 300 fossils and video programs.
