1. Georgia Aquarium

This public aquarium is located in Atlanta, with a collection of large number of animals and marine species. Since 2015, this was the World?s largest aquarium. It has the variety collection of California sea lions, manta rays, sharks, whales, dolphins etc.

3. Andersonville National Historic Site

This is another historic site in Georgia. This is dedicated to the American prisoners of Civil war. It spreads around 515 acres and you can find a National Prisoner of War Museum, historic prison site and a National Cemetery over here.

4. Fort Pulaski National Monument

The construction of this fort started in 1829 and took 18 years to complete, located on Cockspur Island in between Savannah and Tybee Island. It is located on the Shore of Savanna River and the purpose of this fort was to defend savannah from attacks during civil war. There is a park surrounding Fort Pulaski where you can enjoy number of outdoor activities like hiking, biking etc.

5. Martin Luther King, Jr. National Historical Park

This historic park offers number of sites to explore including Martin Luther King?s childhood home, Ebenezer Baptist Church- where he was baptized etc. These sites played an important role in making him a prominent Civil War leader. 6. Atlanta Botanical Garden

The aim of this garden is to plant, maintain and educate people about the importance of planting. 7. Tybee Island Light Station and Museum

This is a typical colonial era light house situated on northeast end of Tybee Island. This is the tallest lighthouse of Georgia with the height of 145feet. It is octagonal in shape and built with brickworks and cedar piles. There is a museum where you can learn about the batteries and the role of Fort Screven?s in I & II World War.

8. Chattahoochee National Forest
