1. Leon Levy native plant preserve, Eleuthera
Address: Banks Rd, Governor's Harbour, Bahamas.
This is the first National Park in the Bahamas created to preserve native plants and the first in Eleuthera too. The main objective is to conserve natural ecosystems like mangrove forests, wetlands, and woodland coppice. There are educational and research activities also possible. It protects flora, fauna, shrubs, medicinal plants, native trees etc and home for a number of birds and butterflies.
2. Light House Beach, Eleuthera
Address: Bahamas.
This stunning beach attracts visitors with its scenic beauty. It is located on the southernmost tip of this island. You can enjoy visiting an old lighthouse, swimming, snorkeling, picnicking, etc in this beach.
3. Eleuthera’s Caves
Address: Bahamas.
These historic caves were the first shelters for the settlers of this island. The popular cave over here is Preacher’s Cave that attracts visitors with its formations and tunnels. Other visitor attractions are Spider Cave, Smugglers Cave, Hatchet Bay Cave, and Rum Bottle Cave.
4. Blue holes, Eleuthera
Address: Pohjois-Eleuthera, Bahamas.
This is an attractive geological formations and it is considered that the Bahamas has the highest concentration of Blue holes in the World that lead to underwater caves.
5. Pink Sand Beach, Harbour Island
Address: Chapel Street, Dunmore Town, Bahamas.
This beach attracts visitors with its long pink sand stretches and crystal clear water. The reason behind the pink color of the sand is millions of microscopic Foraminifera shells mingling with the sand grains. You can enjoy horse-riding through the shallow waters of the beach.
6. Dunmore Town, Harbour Island
Address: Dunmore Town, The Bahamas.
This is a charming town in this island. You can walk along the car-free streets surrounded by colonial buildings, and enjoy historic architecture. The town is named after the former Governor of Bahamas; Lord Dunmore. Loyalist Cottage is the most photographed building in this town.
7. The Queen Conch, Harbour Island
Address: Bay Street, Dunmore Town, Bahamas.
This is a favorite restaurant for visitors on this island. You will get chances to taste the National food of Bahamas; Conch over here in different flavors. You can try delicious seafood dishes from this restaurant too.
8. Golf Buggy Travel, Harbour Island
Address: Bay Street, Dunmore Town, Bahamas.
As most of the island is car-free, you can explore the island through a golf buggy. Hire a golf buggy and you can enjoy sight-seeing as it is open and enjoy the stunning views of this island.
