1. Saint Bavo's Cathedral

This is a popular pilgrim site in Ghent and this is the oldest Parish Church in Belgium. Major attractions of this Church are Gent Altarpiece,- a 15th-century painting by painting by Hubert and Jan van Eyck, elaborate stone and marble naves inside the upper church, the great organ built-in 1935 by Klais is the biggest of the Benelux and many other famous works of World famous artists you can find here.
2. Gravensteen

This medieval castle served as a residence of Counts of Flanders, court, prison, mint, cotton factory over various periods. By visiting this castle you can understand the history of heraldic culture in the 12th century from here. The current castle dates to 1180 and was built by Philip of Alsace on the site of an ancient castle. This is the only existing medieval Castle in Belgium with a moat.
3. St Michael’s Bridge

4. Ghent Belfry

9. St Bavo’s Abbey

This 7th-century abbey was founded by Saint Amand and the purpose was to convert Ganda inhabitants into Christianity. You can find the oldest wall in Ghent over here. It attracts visitors with Romanesque architecture. As a part of preservation, only a few hours are open to the public for visiting this historic landmark.
