1. Fort Louis
Address: Fort St. Louis, Marigot 97150, Guadeloupe.
This is a poplar historic site in St. Martin. Fort Lois was built in 1789 with the purpose of defending the warehouses of Marigot port. The fort was restored in 19th century and the fort overlooks Marigot Bay. Visitors can enjoy the breathtaking views over Marigot, Simpson Bay Lagoon, Simpson Bay, Anguilla, the Terres Basses and Baie Nettle.
2. Butterfly farm
Address: 97150 Rue du Coconut Grove, Guadeloupe 97150, St. Martin.
The butterfly farm tours takes nearly 15 to 20 minutes but the beautiful memories will stay with you ever. Walking through the tropical rainforest and enjoying the colourful butterflies which flies around the flowers would be a really an amazing visual feast for visitors. You can also find a small waterfall and pools filled with Japanese fish over here and can learn the growing process of butterflies in each stage.
3. St Maarten Zoological Park
Address: Arch Rd, Philipsburg, Sint Maarten.
This is a favourite destination for children. You can find morethan 80 species of birds and animals over here. This is the largest zoological park in Caribbean with excellent collections of exotic parrots, reptiles, birds, monkeys, squirrels, ocelots, Bush Dogs, Golden Lion Tamarins and capybaras. There is a playground and recreational areas for visitors.
4. Pinel Island
Address: Pinel Island, St Martin.
Pinel Island is a paradise for water sports activities. Its pristine beaches attract number of visitors and spend an entertaining day over her. The things you can explore here are snorkeling, kayaking, boating, hiking etc. You can also find some of the best sea food dishes from the nearby restaurants.
5. Hope Estate Archaeological Site
Address: Grand Case, Saint Martin, North America.
If you are a history lover, do a visit to this archaeological site. This site named after a sugar cane of 18th century. You can find archaeological findings like pottery, petroglyphs and ruins of the ancient Arawak village. The site is situated 80meters above sea level which overlooks overlooking the Grand Case plain.
6. Pic Paradis
Address: Pic Paradis, 97150, St Martin.
Don�t miss to visit the highest point of St. Martin Island with an elevation of 424 metres, Pic Paradis. An amazing hiking trial would reach to the top point and there are two observation points where you can enjoy the panoramic views of the islands and lush forests.
7. Durat Bridge
Address: Surat, Gujarat, India.
It was built in 1789, a stone bridge situated at the edge of Marigot and the bridge go its name after the then Respected Governor. The construction of Durat bridge, Marigot Prison and Fort St. Louis everything done at the same period. The bridge connects Durat Bridge connects Marigot with the Northernmost part of the island and specifically to the village that is known today as Grand Case.
8. Old Prison
Address: 10 Ashby St, Warrenton, VA 20186, United States.
This prison houses crime committed people till 1968, and after that it becomes a fire station and prisoners moved to a new location. It is located at downtown Marigot. You will get excellent accommodation facilities so that you can visit all the historical sites together over here.
9. Fort Amsterdam
Address: Sint Maarten.
This is another historic site to visit in St. Martin. This is the first fort which was built by Dutch settlers in 1631. The fort was ruined in 1648 when Spanish abandoned this island. You can visit the ruins of the fort, several rusting 19th century cannon and there is a breeding colony of resident brown pelicans.
10. Prickly Pear Cays
Address: Prickley Pear Cays, Anguilla.
These are popular destination for scuba divers and snorkeling lovers. The diving offers the visitors the chance of seeing barracudas, nurse sharks, stingrays, eels, and turtles in the water. You can reach here through a boat trip from Sandy Ground. And the best entertaining things you can enjoy here are Sea, sun, great food, music, cold drinks and good times. Also you can see sunken ships under water while diving.
