This 17th-century mosque was commissioned during the period of Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan. This is an architectural marvel in Lahore. This was the official destination for the Emperor's Friday congregational prayers. It has four attractive minarets, the mosque’s walls are almost completely suffused with the detailed embellishment of Kashi Kari, fresco painting, stone and chuna decoration, and taza Kari on both the exterior and interior surfaces.
