2. Eden Gardens

This is a very well-known cricket stadium in Kolkata, and largest one also. This was opened in 1864 and considered as one of the most iconic cricket stadiums in India. 3. Mother Teresa?s house

4. Indian Museum

You can visit the oldest museum in the India as well as Asia-Pacific region, Indian Museum in Kolkata. 5. Alipore Zoo

This is the largest Zoological garden in Kolkata, a favourite tourist destination. This was established in 1876 and considered as the oldest Zoo in India. Before entering into Kolkata itself you may be aware of the Royal Bengal Tiger. 6. Birla Planetarium

If you are interested in astronomy, you can take a visit to Birla Planetarium where you can find an observatory with daily astronomy shows in different languages. This is the largest planetarium in Asia and the second largest in the World. This is was established by the then Prime Minister Sri Jawaharlal Nehru in 1963. You can find a gallery with astronomical models and collection of paintings.
7. Victoria Memorial

This is one of the first things that you can do in Kolkata. This is a marble structure built in memory of 25years of rulings of Queen Victoria in India. This is built in the same model of London Victoria Memorial. Later this is turned as a museum with greatest collections of ancient artefacts in 25 stunning galleries. Indo-Saracenic revivalist style with a blend of British style architecture was used in its design.
8. Fort William

This fort is situated on the banks of River Hooghly and built in the British periods, 1961. It comprised of wings and an inner bastion where prisoners were hauled which is why it was known as 'the black hole of Calcutta Now it functions as the headquarters of the Eastern Command wing of the Indian Army. It spreads around 70 acres with number of arched windows with the views of gardens.
