The Halasuru Someshwara Temple is located in Halasuru, one the main localities of Bangalore. The temple is one amongst the oldest temples of Bangalore and the temple is dedicated to Lord Someshwara (Lord Shiva). One of the most amazing facts about this temple is that Lord Vishnu and Lord Brahma are also worshipped here.The Halasuru Someshwara Temple constructed between the 12th and 13th centuries CE, in ancient Indian architecture (mixture of Hoysala, Chola and Vijayanagara architecture). The Halasuru Someshwara Temple was renovated and beautified in 16th century by chieftain Kempegowda I, the founder of Bangalore.The other deities housed in Halasuru Someshwara Temple are Kamakshamma, Arunachaleswara, Bhimeswara, Nanjundeswara and Panchalingeswara.
