6. The Breakers, Newport

This is a Vanderbilt mansion in Newport, one of the prominent visitor centres. This was a summer home for Vanderbilt family, constructed in Italian renaissance model. Marbles, red terracotta tiles, steel, Indiana limestone etc were used for construction. It has huge sculpted iron gates, more than 70 rooms including library, great hall, reception room, kitchen etc and has beautiful gardens as well.
7. The Elms, Newport

This large mansion was opened in 1901 and this was the summer cottage for coal baron Mr. and Mrs Edward Julius Berwind of Philadelphia and New York and the brilliance behind this architecture was Horace Trumbauer. Venetian paintings and French antiques, classical revival gardens, marble pavilions etc adds the beauty of this mansion.
8. Cliff walk
