Kozha Sree Narasimha Swami is the one and only Swayambhoo Narasimha Idol in Kerala. In ancient time this place was ruled by the Vadakkumkoor Raja. At that time this place was a thick forest. Kozha Sree Narasimha Moorthy had been taking his birth in Kozha, kuravilangad a valley at that time.It is believed that a Vana Veda who found at first the idol of Lord Narasimha from the soil.Dakshinamorthy (an aspect of Lord Siva as a Guru) and Lord Ganesha are the sub-deities installed in a single sanctum sanctorum besides the right side of Lord Narasimha.
