Neendoor Sreemoolasthanam is the sacred land of ancient Mangalathumana and the temple complexes attached to the mana. It is situated at 6 Km west of Ettumanoor Temple in Kottayam District of Kerala.During the ancient times the surrounding areas of Ettumanoor Mahadeva Temple is known by the name 'Ettumanayoor'. This land of eight manas is one among the 64 sacred villages of ancient Kerala. These manas had the control of Ettumanoor Temple (Oorazhm Aavakasham). Mangalathumana is one among these eight manas (source: Mahakshethrangalkumunpil, Nalankal Krishna Pillai, DC Books, 1997, p.316) Mangalathumana had oorazhmaavakasham in the Sree Subrahmannya Temples of Arpookara and Neendoor (Thrikkayil Temple).
