About Mannoorkkavu Devi Temple:

Mannoorkavu Sree devi Temple one of the oldest temples in Kollam dist. Situated in Mynagappally, 5 km east of Karunagappally. Sree Durga devi is the idol here. Makaraponkal, which is observed in the first Sunday of the month of 'Makaram' , is the main festival here. On this day there is ' Ponkala' in the early morning which is performed by thaousands of women, who eaven come from the distant areas also. In the eveing there is colour full ' KettuKazha' which is the biggest in the nearby areas.The festval is starting ten days prior to the Makara ponkal day.
