Thottipal Bhagavati Temple is located in the Thrissur district of Kerala state, India. Adherents to the faith believe it to be one of the 108 Devi temples installed by Parashurama and it is known for the Thottipal pakalpooram, an event where the deity is taken out of the temple in procession.Devi is considered to be the sister to the Chathakudath Shasta. This ancient temple was destroyed in the attacks by Tipu Sultan and was in a state of distress for centuries. The temple was renovated in late 19th century.Thottipalamma is considered by believers to be all benevolent and to give strength to her devotees so that they may counter the struggles of life.
