Thrikkalathoor Sree Ramaswamy temple, dedicated to the Hindu god Sree Rama, is an ancient temple located in Ernakulam district near to Muvatupuzha.The main festivals of the temple are the Pooram (held in the Malayalam month of Meenam) and Dashavathram Chandanam Chaarthu held in the month of Dhanu. The Chaarthu is a form of decoration of the Sreerama idol mainly using sandalwood paste, ornaments and clothing. On each day, the idol is decorated in the form of one of the Ten Avatars of Vishnu, including the Matsya (fish), Kurma (Tortoise), Varaha (boar), Narasimha (half-man half-lion), Vamana, Parashurama, Rama, Balarama, Krishna and Kalki.
